National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is a joint sector company of the Government of India and the states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Its task is to implement the Regional Rapid Transport System (RRTS) in the National Capital Region to enable balanced and sustainable development through better connectivity and access between them. Corridor proposed by the same company Delhi-Gurugram-SNB (Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror)construction will be done.
Under the first phase, a distance of 107 km from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to SNB Urban Complex (Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror) i.e. right ahead of Bawal (Haryana) on the way and then to Gurugram, Manesar, Panchgaon, Rewari etc. It aims to touch various regional nodes. In the second phase the line will be extended from SNB to Sotanala (33.3 km) with 4 stations including Shahjahanpur, Neemrana and Behror and Sotanala in between.
In the third phase, the extension from Sotnala to Alwar (58 km) is proposed.
The distance of the district from the metro cities will be reduced.
Regional Rapid Transport System (RRTS) will facilitate long distance travel with speed and less stoppages. All the three corridors of RRTS are also being made inter-operable so that passengers will not have to change trains to move from one corridor to another. Under this project, by expediting the construction of such a huge project for crores of people, their journey is to improve their lives by providing comfortable and safe public transport. This is a new rail based system which will reduce the current travel time by one third from Delhi to Meerut, Alwar and Panipat cities. RRTS is different from conventional railway and metro.
